It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merl E. Ross of Central City, Nebraska, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ross and Dena Ross (Yost); his siblings, Viola Regier, Wayne Ross, Kenneth Ross, Reuben Ross and Lavern Ross; and his stepson Michael Braund.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Ross of Central City; his children, Mark Ross (Kelly Johnson) of Nanuet, NY, James Ross (Liena) of Jakarta, Priscilla Williams of Norfolk and Jared Ross (Katrina) of Cedar Hills, UT; and his stepsons, Gregg Ratliff (Patricia) of Omaha, Scott Ratliff (Monica) of Marquette and Brad Ratliff of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Merl was also active with his jail ministry, visiting the Merrick County Jail for many years to share the gospel, until covid no longer allowed him to visit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Nebraska Christian Schools or Gideons International.
