He was predeceased by: his parents, Garried H. Greving and Josie Greving (Erickson); his sisters, Ila (Dick DeWitt) and Marjorie (Paul Tanis); and his sister-in-law Twyla Boyles (Delmar).

He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Jean Howe; and his children, Gregory James, Garry Jay (Vicki) of Chapman, Ann Jeanine (Kevin Brown) of Chapman, Jennifer Jo (Steve Pauly) of Doniphan and Greg (Betty Smith) of Grand Island. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and twenty-two great grand children, plus several nieces and nephews.
