He is survived by: his children, Andrew Simmons (Karrie) of Marquette, NE, Arlene Fairbanks (John) of Surprise, AZ and Ardell Simmons of Edgar, NE; his grandson Jacob Simmons of Central City, NE; his children, Emily Simmons of Walla Walla, WA, Sarah Corman (Braeden) of Larned, KS, Nathan Fairbanks, Bethanie Bakarich, Laklyn of Buckeye, AZ and Jessica (Tanner Dice) of Omaha, NE; his brother Wayne Simmons of Emporia, KS; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Searle of Hastings, NE and Joanne Simmons of Santa Barbara, CA..

A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the Solt-Wagner Funeral Home (1507 17th St, Central City, NE 68826).
