He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mahoney and Frances Mahoney (Theewen); his brother Daniel Mahoney; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Mahoney and Lucy Mahoney.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marjorie "Marge" Ogden (Albert) of Columbus, NE, Jerry Mahoney (Lois) of Lincoln, NE and Mary Thorberg (Don) of Albion, NE. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In consideration of the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, there will be a private family mass held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, NE with Fr. Mark Tomaseiwicz officiating.
