He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Herman and Velma Herman (Hawkins); his son Douglas Herman; his sister Dorothy; his brother-in-law Richard Tritt; and his grandsons, James O'Malley (JJ) and Andrew Schulte.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Herman of Hebron, NE; his daughter Leslie Garner (James) of Auburn, KS; his stepchildren, Dawn Stocks of Falls City, NE and James O'Malley of Lincoln, NE; and his brother Jerry Herman (Lila) of Geneva, NE. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
