He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Meyer and Hildagard Meyer (Bartels); his parents-in-law, Albert and Edna Jesske; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Jesske, Wayne Guthrie, Daryl Lenstrom and Joyce Lenstrom.

He is survived by: his wife Hilda Jesske; his sons, Scott Meyer (Lori) and Shane Meyer (Alison); his grandchildren, Maddy, McClain, Mallorie, Emersyn, Emily and Abigail Meyer; his sisters, LaDonna Jesske and Sandra Himmelberg; his siblings-in-law, Wayne Himmelberg and Janice Guthrie; and his nieces and nephews, Dr. Jay Jesske (Tammy), Jud Jesske (Kaye), Dr. Jeff Himmelberg of Todd Himmelberg, J. W, Tracy Guthrie (Sharisse), Jerry Guthrie, Stuart Guthrie (Tami), Anita Petarek, Kathryn Lee, Amy Lenstrom and Jill Lyons.

Memorials are suggested to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Jude Hospital.
