He was predeceased by: his parents, Bly Ruf (Dillin) and Henry J. Ruf; and his daughter-in-law Sherri Ruf (Kennedy). He is survived by: his son Bob Ruf; his wife Ruth Ruf (Hosea) of Wilsonville; his daughters, Barb (Kevin Hitt) and Bev (Bill Moorberg); his daughter-in-law Missy Ruf of Oberlin, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Ann (Ace Rodriguez), Michel Hitt, Amanda Hitt, Mitchell (Marci Hitt), Andrea (Bryce Bird), Stephanie Moorberg, Ryan (Jamie Ruf), Sarah (Alex Heeger), Derek (Morrisa Spresser) and Colton (Briana Spresser); his great grandchildren, Alexis, Riley Rodriguez, Joshua, Addilynn Hitt, Malikiah, Sofia Hitt, Rifle Bird, Jax, Bo, Tagen Ruf, Giada, Guiliana Smith, Hank Heeger, Nora and Thatcher Spresser; and his sister Lois (Harold Keller) of New Strawn, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family of Ed Ruf for future designation.
