He was predeceased by: his sister Geraldine Wilkin of Murdock. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Cary Sommer (Connie) of Callaway, Mark Sommer of Kearney, Corinne Sommer of North Platte, Russ Sommer of Baton Rouge and Lane Sommer (Rhonda) of Anselmo; his grandchildren, Lance Sommer of Broken Bow, Britt Sommer of Lincoln, Megan Sommer of Omaha, Drew Sommer (Alyssa) of Merna and Cord Sommer of Merna; and his great grandchildren, Aliyah Sommer of Broken Bow and Felicia Sommer of Broken Bow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
