He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Fernau and Monica Fernau (Salmen); his wife Marlene Schroetlin; his parents-in-law, Herman and Lucille Schroetlin; his siblings, Betty Hood and Tom Fernau; and his siblings-in-law, Tomi Fernau, Delbert Hood, Leland Richardson and Meredith Livingston.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Fernau (Lindy), Renee Brewster (Scott), Lori Norris (Jeff), Wesley Fernau and David Hood; his grandchildren, Jay Fernau, Jess Fernau (Shanna), Jenna Hesse (Joe), Ryan Brewster, Stefanie Pistulka (Brad), Britanie Brewster, Christopher Brewster (Kelli), Christian Norris, Zoey Norris, Aiden Norris, Chelsie Rocco (Seth), Autumn Fernau and Taylor Fernau; his great grandchildren, Brylie, Breckynn, Ben Pistulka, Olivia, Oliver Fernau, McKenzie, Macy, Carter Brewster, Dominic Fernau, Beck, Ricki, Maclyn and Hesse; and his siblings, Harold Fernau (Mary Lou), Sharon Voigt, Darlene Livingston, Kathy Hansen (Greg) and Judy Atkinson (Ronnie).
