It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernard Bartunek of Bruno, Nebraska, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaclav 'Jim' and Tillie Bartunek (Prochaska); his wife Dorothy A. Novacek; his brothers, Eugene and Dennis; his parents-in-law, Frank and Margaret Novacek; his siblings-in-law, Victor Novacek, Leonard Novacek, Sally Bartunek, Laverne Novacek and Elsie Novacek; and his nephew Leland Novacek.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Bartunek (Linda) of Bruno and Bruce Bartunek (Jeanie) of Bruno; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Heather Bartunek of Bruno, Demi Bartunek of David City, Jessica Bartunek of Bruno and Jacob Bartunek of Lincoln; and his stepgranddaughters, Stephanie Laska (Nathan) of Bruno, Janice Swenson (Grant) of Spring Branch, TX, Heather Kucera (Kevin) of Cedar Bluffs and Sheila Stanek (Allen) of Valparaiso. He is also survived by Twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
