She was predeceased by: her parents, Clemet Birney and Arlene Birney (North); her brother Glen; her daughter Heather; and her granddaughter Jordyn.
She is survived by: her children, Jessica Hansen of Wilsonville, NE, Jeffrey Hansen of Greeley, CO and Matthew Hansen (Cassie) of Ansley; her siblings, Robert Birney (Susan) and Bonnie Wright (Kevin) of Broken Bow, NE; her granddaughters, Kay and Cass; and her sister-in-law Peg Birney.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary & Cremation (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822).
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Hooves & Paws Rescue of the Heartland in Glenwood, IA to assist with the care of one of Sharon's favorite animals… horses.
