He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Connely and Lela Connely (Arnold); his brother Jack Connely; his sisters-in-law, Emily and Cathy Connely; and his son Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Verneta Dibble of Broken Bow; his children, Doug Connely (Jean) of Eaton, CO, Tom Connely (Colleen) of Kearney and Kailyn Paige (Jeff) of Grand Island; his siblings, Ted Connely (Brenda) of Port Angeles, WA, Dave Connely of Lincoln and Carol Christen (Carl) of Broken Bow; and his sister-in-law Clara Connely of York. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and spouses, and ten great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID the family has decided to hold a private family Celebration of Life at a later time.
