He was predeceased by: his father Logan Sands. He is survived by: his mother Clara Sands (Johnson) of Jet, OK; his wife Bonnie Haynes-Barrow; his children, Terri Sands and Josh Sands (Susan); his stepchildren, Paula Hakes (James) and Tim Barrow (Andrea); his siblings, Robert Sands of Jet, OK, Jim Sands of Enid, OK, Larry Sands of Arkansas, David Sands of Jet, OK, Greg Sands of Georgia and Tina Etter of Jet, OK; and his half-sisters, Debbie Holt and Jill Sands. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Veteran's Memorial Building in Broken Bow.
