We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2024 we had to say goodbye to LaVonne Oxford of Broken Bow, Nebraska, born in Callaway, Nebraska. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Eggleston and Zelda Eggleston (Hemphill); her son Richard Lewis "Brave Warrior"; her grandsons, Lucas John Heusman and Zachary Levi Heusman; her in-laws, Clarence and Katharine Oxford (Gibson); her siblings, Kenneth Eggleston (Beulah), Keith Eggleston (Vi), Donald Eggleston, Glenn Eggleston (Myrna), Ella Mae Casey (Eggleston), Ivan Clarence Eggleston and Lloyd Lynn Eggleston; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Oxford and Linda Oxford.

She is survived by: her husband Gene Oxford of Broken Bow; her grandson Lucas John; her children, Eugene Oxford (Julie) of Oklahoma City, OK, Jim Oxford (Teresa) of Lincoln, Valarie Oxford of Broken Bow and Bryan Oxford (Sarah) of Sandy, OR; her siblings, Charles Eggleston (Vicky) of Gothenburg, Loraine Rogers of Franklin, Judy Struempler (Maynard) of Oconto and Jane LiaKos (Nick) of Kansas City, MO; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Casey (Beverly) of Houston, TX, David Oxford of Enders, Sheridan Griffith of Broken Bow, Bonnie Eggleston of Oconto and Sandra Eggleston of Broken Bow.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary & Cremation (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (1000 S 3rd Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822).

Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church or the Prairie Pioneer Center.
