He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Hagstrand McDaniel and Dr V. S. McDaniel; his siblings, Dorce Lee Coslor, Floyd McDaniel and Ginger Horacek; and his granddaughter Bailee McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Govaerts; and his children, Cynthia McBride (Bob), Jennifer Burkstrand (Steve), Eric McDaniel (Tammy Mannlien), Lex McDaniel (Amber), Kristin Slagle (Mark) and Joe McDaniel (Teri).
