With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Guy L. Mills Sr. in Broken Bow, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Mills and Belle Mills (Thorn); his mother-in-law Rose Nickman; his stepfather-in-law Frank Nickman; and his grandson Thomas Hurt.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Mills (Skala); his children, Roberta Snyder (Mel) of Ansley, Rosalie Hurt of Seward, Guyla Mills of Wilsonville, Guy, Jr. of Ansley and Alan (Robin) of Lincoln; and his grandchildren, Michelle Gardner (Paul) of Bellevue, Jessica Maseberg (Miles) of Thedford, Natalie Nitzsche (Bill) of Seward, Nathaniel Hurt (Tina) of Callaway, Daniel Snyder (Allison) of Wahoo, Matthew Hurt (Mikayla) of Juniata, Gary Mills of Ansley, Brian Mills (Devon) of Starkville, MS, James Mills of Arcadia, Madison Kettelhut (Jake) of Lincoln and Billy Mills of Lincoln. He is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren, and three Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Josaphat's Catholic Church (704 N 9th St, Loup City, NE 68853). A rosary was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Ansley Memorial Scholarship Fund or Local Fire Department of Choice.
