He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Brooks and Maurine Stevens (Carothers); and his brother John Stevens. He is survived by: his siblings, Tom Stevens of Tucson, AZ and Martha Stevens of Granite Falls, WA; and his sister-in-law Diana Stevens.

Memorials are suggested to the Custer County Foundation for the Stevens Family Scholarship.
