He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald DeGroff and Jane DeGroff; and his sister Donna. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Dimmit; his children, Debra Zimmerman (Leon) of Broken Bow, NE, Rhonda Haynes (Mark) of Broken Bow, NE, Craig DeGroff (Traci) of Broken Bow, NE and Ryan DeGroff (Becky) of Glenrock, WY.; his grandchildren, Jill Houghtelling (Jeremy), Jaren Zimmerman, Jalee Karmazin (Nick), Clinton Haynes (Megan), Leigh Stutzman (Matt), Kerri Forcella (Calder), Kesha DeGroff and Riley DeGroff; and his siblings, Ray DeGroff, Fay White, Mary Jane Riobotta and Connie Strand.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Brewster Fire & Rescue.
