We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Don Horacek of Brainard, Nebraska. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Horacek and Anna Horacek (Svoboda); his wife Helen Sedlacek (Novak); and his siblings, Alice Styskal, Adeline Spicka, Rose Keelan, Loretta Svoboda, Ray and Leonard Horacek.

He is survived by: his children, Kelly Luth (Todd) of Little Rock and Rusty Sedlacek (Pam) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Cameron Luth (Whitney) of Little Rock, Courtney Holden (Jon-Mark) of Louisville, Jamie Sedlacek-Smith (Nate) of Gretna and Jessika Sedlacek of Lincoln; and his sister Sally Hotovy of Lincoln. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lunch at the Klein Center immediately following mass, Memorials to the family for future designation.

“Don Horacek was the very first Uncle I remember. He was 19 years older than me and was one of the kindest gentlemen I ever knew. He also had a vast knowledge of John Deere farm equipment! I remember when I was young, Uncle Don always took time to play with and, in elementary and high school, spend time with me. I greatly respected him as an individual.. May he Rest In Peace.
