He is survived by: his mother Patricia Opfer (Rich) of DeSoto, KS; his wife Dawn Smith of Bradshaw; his children, Kristin Steggs (Richard) of Lincoln and Michael Opfer (Dawn Marie) of Bradshaw; his grandchildren, Haliegh, Nicolas, Thye, Trey, Alea, Hailo and Tomas; his brother Ross Opfer (D. Dee) of DeSoto, KS; his niece Bretlyn; his nephews, Brennan and Brock; his uncle Homer; and his aunt Jean Janzen of Loveland, CO..
