He was predeceased by: his parents, Cadell Abbott and Louise Abbott (Trailor); his sister Linda Ihle (Gerry Abbott); and his stepson Perry Pederson. He is survived by: his wife Kay Abbott (Davis) of Bradshaw; his children, Michelle Dewey of Loveland and Jeff Abbott of Loveland; his grandson Zach Dewey; his sister Roma Schlief (Jack) of Dayton, IA; his stepchildren, Greg Pederson (Deb) of Hershey, NE, Laurie Smith (Jemi) of Portland, OR, Julie Hall (Gordon) of McCool Jct and Jeff Pederson (Rita) of Bennington, NE; and his stepdaughter-in-law Renee Pederson of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by his 9 step-grandchildren, his 8 step-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
