She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Reuben Manthei and Grace Manthei (Breitkreutz); her daughter-in-law Rene (Simdorn); her grandchildren, Heather Simdorn of Sioux Falls, SD, Jason Simdorn (Angela) of Dannebrog and Hiliary Glover (Wayne) of Sioux Falls, SD; her great grandchildren, Samantha Simdorn, Tanner Simdorn and Annika Glover; her brother Robert; her siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Manthei of Rochester, MN and Virgil Swenson of Willmar, MN; her birth mother Grace; her stepmother Loretta Manthei; her husbands, Melvin "Toby" Simdorn and Clarence "Jeff" Petersen; her son James "Jim" Simdorn; and her siblings, Adeline Schafer, Joyce Wilson, Maurice Manthei, Gordon Manthei, Betty Swenson and Helen Jean Manthei. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (Dannebrog), Faith Lutheran Church (Hazard), Mosaic in Central Nebraska, or to the family to be designated at a later date.
