He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Martha (Curlo); his brother Larry; his nephew Marty; and his parents-in-law, Kenny and Elaine Thomas.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kennedy, Jordan Simpson, Karsen, Mattie, Mason and Bryce Gorecki; and his daughter Breanna Johnson.
