She was predeceased by: her parents, Ord Watts and Evelyn Watts (Kussman); her husband Ray Cary; her son Ray Jr.; her grandchildren, Megan Atwater, Lyllain Cary, Alinda Morgan and Justice Morgan; her great grandchild Charlie Hoover; and her son-in-law Woody Barton.
She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Barton (Rocky) of Alton, MO, Beverly Atwater (Greg) of Blue Springs, Tammy Miller (Todd) of Barneston, Kathryn Morgan (Trinity) of Blue Springs, James Cary (Angela) of Blue Springs and Jordie Cary (Hiliary) of Wymore. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; many sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers, and brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in honor of Josie's great grandson, Gaige Atwater.
