It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald M Alber of Blue Hill, Nebraska, born in Hastings, Nebraska, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Alber and Lois Alber (Sexton); his wife Rebecca "Becky" Alber; and his sister Virginia Schmidt. He is survived by: his children, Angii (Barry Kort), Tim Alber (Keri Schunk) and Marty (Jill Alber); his grandchildren, Kerry Kort of Kansas, Kody Kort of Kansas, Kelsey of Kansas, Nick Junker of Kansas, Kegan Kort of Kansas, Katie Kort of Kansas, Taylor, Mackenzie and Casen Alber of Blue Hill; his brother Lynn (Donna Alber); and his siblings-in-law, Melvin Schmidt of Sullivan, Cheri and Butch Schulenburg of Cowles. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
