Robert left this world on February 27, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Bruns and Hilda S. Bruns (Clausen); his parents-in-law, Ray and Marceline Foster; his sisters, Wilma Wortmann, Shirley Fink (Gerald), Viola Suhr (Gaylan) and Mary Barger (Marlyn); and his brother-in-law Gary Erickson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy of Andrew's Catholic Church; his children, Kelly Bruns (Cindy) of Bloomfield, Kay Morrill (Roger) of Creighton, Krista Dybdal (Larry) of Newcastle and Kirk Bruns (Kristi) of Springview; his grandchildren, Kali Rose, Cole Bruns (Haylee) and Kate Bruns (Cade Groseth); his children, Alex Morrill, Allison Hoffmann (Michael), Anna Morrill, Anthony Morrill, Taylor Koenig (Chris), Ty Dybdal (Abby), Trisha Dybdal (Colin Riley), Kara Sybrant (Nolan), Paige Stewart (Chase) and Ben Bruns; his great grandchildren, Gage, Kadence, Kyryn, Jeager and Tynlee Rose; his grandchildren, Caroline, Carter Koenig, Hudsyn, Hayes, Huntley Dybdal, Landri, Sutton, Sterling Sybrant, Max, Benny Hoffmann and Mallee Bruns; his sister Arlis Erickson; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Clausen (Gerald), Susan Dvorak (Max), Roman Wortmann and Art Huber. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church (305 S McNamara St, Bloomfield, NE 68718). A rosary was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brockhaus Funeral Home (220 Main St, Bloomfield, NE 68718). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church (305 S McNamara St, Bloomfield, NE 68718).
