She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Brunken (Jensen) and Henry Brunken; her husband Gilbert Eckmann; and her siblings, Kenny Brunken and Verna Zart.

She is survived by: her children, Terry (Peggy) of Bloomfield, Brad (Connie) of Bloomfield, Kevin (Kathy) of Bloomfield, Jan Huxoll (Tex) of David City, NE and Donna Nielsen (Keith) of Bloomfield; and her sister Karen Erickson (Brunken) of Adel, Iowa.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
