He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Boelter and Thelma Boelter (Butterfield); his stepfather Fred Storm; his sister Leone; and his friend Dale Acklie.

He is survived by: his nieces, Penny Miller (Van Ostrand) and Peggy Van Ostrand; and his nephew Perry Van Ostrand.
