He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ernst and Ellen Ruby Oppliger (Coffin); his parents-in-law, Joe and Esther Tworek; his brothers-in-law, Kenny Zoucha, Paul Tworek and Gary Neujahr; his nephew Andre Tworek; and his sister-in-law Carol Hobza.

He is survived by: his wife Becky Tworek; his sons, Chad Oppliger of Columbus and Dustin Oppliger (Tonya) of Blair; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Oppliger (Austin Pruss), Lindsay Borgman (Nick) and Landen Oppliger; his daughter Erica Young (Jeff) of Albion; his grandchildren, Brittany Childress (Matthew), Blaine Young, Dylan Young (Kerrigan Myers), Dalton Young (Caydence Guthard) and Braylee Young; his great grandchildren, Myles and Madden Childress; his sisters, Gloria Neujahr of Gresham and Joyce Kuhnel (Vernon) of Osceola; and his in-laws, Myron Hobza, Katie Tworek, Bill Tworek (Diane), Tom Tworek (Marilyn), Janie Whitefoot (Brad) and Joanie Zoucha. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Campbell Aman Funeral Home (444 S 17th St, Blair, NE 68008). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Eagle's Club.
