With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Jackson of Blair, Nebraska, born in Townsend, Montana, who passed away on August 3, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jeanette Jackson (Wilderson); his brother George; his father George Jackson; his sister Norma Jean; his brother-in-law Milo Stork; his niece Diana Stork Klanderud; and his nephew Richard Stork.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandy and Betty of Bloomington, IN; his wife Betty Jackson (Eck); his daughters, Sherre M Jackson (Walter) and Sandra J Smiley; his grandchildren, Chelsea Fithian Fuller (Brian) of Westerville, OH, Ben Fithian (Kristen) of Gahanna, OH, Dr. Kate Smiley (Clint Buffington) of Bloomington, IN and Claire Smiley Peck (Robert) of Perry, MI; his stepgrandchildren, Heather Haycock of Chaplin, CT and Walter R Haycock of Brooksville, FL; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Colin Fuller, Gabrielle, Aubrey, Olivia Fithian, Viviane and Forest Buffington.
His daughters Sherre and Sandy moved Bob and Betty from Bloomington, IN to VA seven months ago because of his failing health and concern Covid wouldn't allow them to be near their parents in assisted living when Bobs time on earth came to an end.
