She was predeceased by: her parents, Boy Hindrig and Ane Kirstine [Kragh] Jessen; her siblings, Johanna, Gerald Olsen, Dorothea, Clarence Yeutter, Marie, Quentin Johnson, Nis (Helga), Irene Jessen, Dagny, Erik Duus, Henry (Joyce) and Alfred; her sister-in-law Beverly Jessen; her husband Verlan; her daughter Lisa Madsen; and her granddaughter Laura Madsen.
She is survived by: her siblings, Arne (Meryl Jessen) of Woodbury, MN, Elna (Merle Knuth) of Des Moines, IA, Carl (Marilyn Jessen) of Sundance, WY and Pete (Connie Jessen) of Aurora, CO; her sons, Alan (Mary) and Duane (Shirley); her grandchildren, Maren, Jay Collins of Omaha, Kirstine, Bill Fitzgerald of Bennington, Jeremy, Erin Hanson of Annapolis, MD, Dane Madsen of Omaha and Jacob Madsen of Omaha; and her great grandchildren, Violet Collins, Rowan Fitzgerald, Ariana Fitzgerald, Eliza Hanson and Julia Hanson.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial gifts to Christ Lutheran Church and the Danish American Archives in Blair.
