He is survived by: his children, John Thomas (Stacey) of Ute, IA, Michele Thomas of Ute, IA, Bryan Thomas of Soldier, IA and Troy Thomas (Shellie) of Kennard, NE; his grandchildren, Jennifer Holz (Chris), Cheri Hadden (Adam), Shay Melby, Taya Thomas, Chris Hunter (Ashley), Cory Hunter (Gloria), Matthew Parkhill, Michael Hammer and Nyssa Thomas; and his sister Mary Thomas King.
