He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Rathjen and Elsie Rathjen (Burmeister); and his daughter Denise Rathjen. He is survived by: his wife Pearl Hansen; his children, Dean Rathjen (Karen Clark) and Dawn Andersen (Darin); his grandchildren, Austin Rathjen, Cameron Rathjen, Madison Bieker, Grayson Rathjen, Tyler Andersen, Hope Andersen and Makayla Andresen; his stepgrandchildren, Bryce Rathjen, Dallas Bieker and Austin Bieker; his siblings, Melvin Rathjen (Joyce) and Myrna Heyden; and his siblings-in-law, Geraldine Davis and Larry Hansen (Georgia). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
