She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Motz and Pauline Motz (McManimie); her husband Donald Duane Deitering; and her sister Sandy Hirst. She is survived by: her daughter Chris Joy (Denis); her grandson Jeremy Joy (Nicole); her great grandchild Lorelei Joy; and her brother Roger Motz (Rhonda).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hennessey Funeral Home (310 E Huron St, Missouri Valley, IA 51555). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church (2005 Davis Dr, Blair, NE 68008).
