He was predeceased by: his son Richard Renken; his brother Raymond Renken; his granddaughter Danika Alyn Moore; his parents-in-law, Albert and Hilma Sundquist (Olson); and his siblings-in-law, LaVonna Van Matre, LeRoy Sundquist and Eldred Maaske.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Renken of Bertrand; his children, Royce Renken of Bertrand, Robert Renken (Jennifer) of Bertrand and Rayan Moore (Jeff) of North Platte, Nebraska; his grandsons, Dustin (Josh), Tigh, Noah, Dawson, Lucas, Eli, Rylan, Dylan (Marissa) and Dayne; his daughter-in-law Annette Rhea (William Rhea, III) of Arlington, Nebraska; his siblings, Marlene Dahlgren (Gary) of Bertrand, Darlene Samuelson (Allen) of Bertrand, Randall Renken (Sandy) of Fort Morgan, Colorado and Judy Long (Gaylord) of Holdrege; and his sisters-in-law, Janet Renken of Bertrand and Dora Mae Sundquist of Holdrege. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
