It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Janssen of Bertrand, Nebraska, who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Elizabeth Janssen (Racicky); his wife Diane Kay Miller; his sister Alice Marie Janssen; his niece Alice Hall; and his siblings-in-law, Deena Janssen, Slim Brinkman and Peter James Gray (Blue).
He is survived by: his children, Marcia Janssen of Gothenburg, Brenda Johnson (Doug) of Curtis, Elizabeth Patterson (Shane) of Bertrand and Dick Janssen (Kathleen) of Corpus Christi, TX; and his siblings, Viola Brinkman of Ericson, Margaret Gray of Greeley and Charles Janssen of Oak Harbor, WA. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel (620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
