He was predeceased by: his parents, Freddie Renken and Doris Renken; his nephew Richard L. Renken; his great-niece Danika Moore; and his brothers-in-law, Eldred Maaske and Don Vacha.

He is survived by: his siblings, Freddie and Doris A. Renken (Holmquist); his children, Christie and Ron; his wife Janet Renken of Bertrand; his daughters, Brandy Anderson of Holbrook, Nebraska and Sherri Renken of Elm Creek, Nebraska; his extended family, Cody, Christine, Casey, Cassidy, Colten, Emmersyn, Zack, Baileigh, Logan and Brenda; his siblings, Marlene Dahlgren (Gary) of Bertrand, Darlene Samuelson (Allen) of Bertrand, Roger Renken (Rosemary) of Bertrand, Randall Renken (Sandy) of Fort Morgan, Colorado and Judy Long (Gaylord) of Holdrege; and his sister-in-law Beverly Vacha of Gibbon, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
