She was predeceased by: her husband Reuben Lee Anders; her brother Roger Rasmussen; and her son-in-law Roger Jones. She is survived by: her children, Virginia Ellmore (Jeff) of Newport Beach, California, Kathleen Jones of Smithfield and John Anders (Carma) of Bertrand; her grandchild Nate Anders (Felicia Rademacher) of Bertrand; her children, Nikkia Castillo (Eric) of Doniphan, Nebraska, Jonathan Anders of Bertrand, Ben Jones (Andrea) of Dallas, Texas, Calena Ohlson (Andy) of Omaha, Nebraska, Sierra Lister (Adam) of Fargo and Elizabeth Ellmore of Mountain View, California; her great grandchildren, Sophie and Aspen Jones; her grandchildren, Alec Lovitt (Jorjah Shimmin), Aden Lovitt and Isabelle Ohlson; and her great great grandchild Owen Lovitt. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Notably, the Wednesday Ladies' coffee group continued at the nursing home until the nursing home went on lockdown due to the COVID–19 pandemic in 2020.
A memorial has been established in Illa's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
