He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Dahlgren and Mary Dahlgren (Ropers); his parents-in-law, Freddie and Doris Renken; his brothers-in-law, Eldred Maaske, John McDonald, Roger Renken and Raymond Renken; and his great grandchild Adeline Lotker.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Dahlgren of Bertrand, Nebraska; his children, Jodene Keeler (Bruce) of Parker, Colorado, Callan Dahlgren (Shana) of Bertrand, Nebraska, Amber Dahlgren (Bryan Nelson) of Johnson Lake, Nebraska and Shad Dahlgren of Bertrand Nebraska; his grandchildren, Caprianna, Drake, Brock Keeler, Justin Dahlgren (Bailey), Tyler Dahlgren (Page), Grant Dahlgren (Rebecca), Bailey Funk (Brenden), Jordan Lotker (Matthew), Sydney Siekman and Samuel Siekman (Heather); and his siblings, Robert Dahlgren (Betty) of Bertrand, Judy McDonald of Kearney and Jane Tonjes (Hank) of Kearney, Nebraska. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home (401 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church (74094 County Rd 436, Smithfield, NE 68976).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests memorial donations be sent to the Gary Dahlgren Memorial c/o First State Bank at 74008 C Road, Bertrand, NE 68927, and the funds will be designated to Bertrand area community projects.
