He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

“I just learned today, December 17, 2019, of Mr. Bogg's passing earlier this year. I have a very special memory of Mr Boggs from his last visit to my hometown of Tacoma, WA He came to perform a concert & through some snafu there was no pianist for him. Because my Aunt Edna worked for the major Christian bookstore in Tacoma, and played the piano, she was drafted to play for Mr. Bogg's as he practiced that day. She never forgot the experience and often commented on it. She introduced me to him”
