She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Johnston and Elma Johnston (Kearns); her husband Besides; her siblings, Wayne Johnston (Maxine), John Johnston, Melvin Johnston and Isabelle Erickson (Harold); and also Carol Erickson.
She is survived by: her former husband Delmar Rueben Ebmeier; her siblings-in-law, Karen Johnston of Oxford, Nebraska, Betty Babock (Allen) of Scotia, Nebraska and Darold Ebmeier (Mary Ann) of Maywood, Nebraska; her nieces, Sue Treffer of Kearney, Nebraska, Karla Schulte (Jon) of Shawnee, Kansas, Rendia Clark of Overland Park, Kansas, Karen Novotne (Larry) of Gibbon, Nebraska and Joan Mansfield of Dacono, Colorado; her nephew Ward Johnston (Sandra) of Eudora, Kansas.; and also, Laura Nokes (Garrett) of McCook, Nebraska, Andrea Rathgeber (Mark) of Dakota Dunes, Ben Ebmeier (Mindy) of North Platte, Nebraska, Calvin Ebmeier (Charlee) of Whitney, Nebraska and Alex Babcock of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial has been established in Frances' honor, and kindly suggested to the Frances M. Ebmeier Scholarship Fund c/o the Phelps County Community Foundation in Holdrege.
