It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Shirk of Bennet, Nebraska, born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Shirk and Dixie Shirk; and his brothers, Denny Myers and Michael Myers. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shirk of Bennet, NE; his sons, Timothy Shirk (Andrea) of Mascoutah, IL, Chad Shirk (Kimberly) of Lincoln, NE and Christopher Shirk (Jennifer) of Bennet, NE; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Caleb, Logan, Evan, Addison and McKinley; and his siblings, Tammy Houston (Ray) and Stephen Shirk (Mariann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to his family for a later designation.
