He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick J. O'Brien and Dorothy J. O'Brien (Harder); his sister Lynn Baldwin; his brother-in-law Larry Stute; his nephew Brian Stute; and his mother-in-law Addie Pursley.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Pursley; his children, Tracy Gruwell (Donald) of Huntington Beach, CA and Kelly Contreras (Torrey) of Cerritos, CA.; his grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Caden, Presley, Jacob, Elijah of Addison, RJ, Harper, Owen, Reid and Mason; his siblings, Connie Rucker (Ron) of Omaha, NE, Pat O'Brien (Arneth) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Ann Perez (Jerry) of Brea, CA and Liz Cuellar (Jeff) of Prescott Valley, AZ.; and his sister-in-law Arlene Stute (Bill).
A memorial, In Bill's Memory, has been suggested to the Benkelman Community Foundation for use at the Benkelman Country Club.
