He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bryant and Geneva Louise Carter (Patterson); his daughter Mona Carter; his sisters, Geneva "Louise" Green and Sandra Kay Hester; his grandson Talon Reece Carter; and his parents-in-law, Jimmy and Shirly Simer.
He is survived by: his wife Cherry Carter of Benkelman, NE; his daughters, Amber Proctor of Brownfield, TX, Cerice Miner (Kenny) of Wauneta, NE and Heather Carter (Anthony Brown) of McCook, NE; and his brother George "Buck" Carter of Mt. Pleasant, TX.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Benkelman Memorial Chapel (205 Buffalo St, Benkelman, NE 69021).
