With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Lynne Kessell of Bellevue, Nebraska, born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence W. Hines and Vivian K. Hines. She is survived by: her husband Roy Kessell; her son Christopher Kessell (Jenna) of Omaha; her sister Sharon Rockwell (Dean) of Lakewood, Colorado; her niece Stacey Scott (Nelson); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Courtney and Christopher Scott of Lakewood, Colorado; her nephew Michael Rockwell (Jennifer); and her great-nieces, Jane and Amelia Rockwell of Littleton, Colorado..

Susan's Family asks that memorials be sent to the Bellevue Public Schools Foundation.

“Roy… I just heard the sad news about Susie! I’m so sorry for your loss. I have such awesome memories of all of us during our good years at Ft Crook and the military life of course… Where does life and time go? I feel bad I never kept up with the teachers after I left Ft Crook. Life with kids seemed to take front page I guess. I will always remember Susie with her organizational skills! And she always was an excellent teacher.! Love, Julie Bradbury ( Chuck too)”
