He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Miles William Kelly and Dorothy Ruth Hopper Kelly; his wife Karen Schmidt; his brothers, Douglas and Marc; and his siblings-in-law, Dee Dee Kelly and Robert Schmidt (Patricia).

He is survived by: his siblings, Frank Kelly of Papillion, NE, Bruce Kelly of Des Moines, IA and Margaret Turk of Creston, IA; and his sister-in-law Connie Springer (Gary) of Waukee, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials suggested to Eagles Club of Bellevue or Kiwanis Club of Bellevue.
