He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert and Eva; his son Michael; his son-in-law John Durr; and his brother William.
He is survived by: his son Timothy Heller (Cynthia); his daughter-in-law Cassy Heller; and his daughters, Stephanie Heller-Durr, Lisa Hobday (Greg) and Kate Thomas (Brett). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nephews and niece, cousins and many "adopted" children.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mary Our Queen Catholic Church (3405 S 118th St, Omaha, NE 68144). A vigil service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (7800 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE 68124).
