He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Frances; and his siblings, Irene, Dorothy and Joe.

He is survived by: his wife Frances; and his children, James (Dorothy) and Jean Beattie (Brian). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
