He is survived by: his wife Susan Hedin; his children, Matt Hedin (PJ Jantzen), Amanda Hedin (Kelly Gow) and Thad Hedin; his grandchildren, Jaxson Gow-Hedin, Trent, Lauren, Andrew and Addison; and his siblings, Janice (Chuck Menke), Steve (Debbie Hedin), James (Pris Hedin), John (Lynette Hedin) and Karen (Doug Tofell).
