He was predeceased by: his parents, James Merwine and Sarah Merwine; and his grandparents, Agnes Mae Grace Merwine and Paul Meyers. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughters, Naomi Nielsen (Scott) and Danielle Stewart (Max); his grandchildren, Amelia, Aileena and Milo Nielsen; and his sister Michele Young (David).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
